Our Beginning

Haythorn Sports & Events was launched in the Summer of 2020 to be the pre-eminent choice of agent for professional sports teams in the UK. Built on knowledge and understanding of working for a Premier League club and in the hospitality industry for 15 years, we provide a customised service based on your unique requirements.

Having worked with the very best professional sports teams at hotel level, we’ve seen how it’s done well…and how it’s done not so well. Athletics and other Olympic Sports

Working across a multitude of major international sporting events in the UK, Haythorn Sport & Events knows what it takes to ensure that event accommodation runs smoothly. Given the nature of such competition, we’ve worked closely with hotels to manage room blocks as we know that athletes come and go in competition. Who Are We?

Our Founder and Managing Director Jody Hayes was born in Northern Ireland in 1980 before moving to England in 1987. His love of all things sports related dictated his educational career, gaining an Advanced GNVQ in Leisure & Tourism and then graduating with a BA (Hons) Sports Studies degree from renowned sports university, University of Chichester.

Post-graduation, Jody has held a number of roles in the sports industry, including positions at Southampton FC, Goodwood Racecourse and most recently with a hospitality cross over as Director of Sales for Sports & Partnerships within the worlds largest hospitality company. It was here that he honed his knowledge and skills of team stays working with professional sports clubs as well as developing an extensive global network of contacts in the hotel industry.

Outside of work, Jody loves spending time with his wife and son and can often be found trying to perfect his favourite hobby of Golf!
